Whether you’re currently a Christian, or interested in learning more about the Christian faith, you’re welcome at Christ the Saviour Lutheran Church, Toronto.
Five hundred years ago the Lutheran Reformation of the church began. We were the first Protestants, the first Evangelicals. Martin Luther sought to reform a church that had fallen away from the truth of the Bible. As Lutherans, we believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.
Based on the Bible we believe we’re saved by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ alone. The culture around us may be secular and changing, and the world we live in difficult, even hostile, but God’s Word doesn’t change, nor does His love and compassion for you.
At our Church you’ll find a caring community of believers. We worship with a liturgy consistent with the Bible and the ancient Christian Church. We’re also engaged in today’s world seeking to help those around us with compassion for what Jesus called “the least of us,” our less fortunate Brothers and Sisters.
Together we engage in Bible studies that include issues Christians face today. We have fellowship time every Sunday, monthly showings of Christian films, and Church outings that include camping trips.
We look forward to meeting you and sharing the reason for our joy and hope, the Resurrected Saviour, Jesus Christ!
In His Service,
Pastor Tom C. Steers
